Dear GroupOn'ers,

Thanks for joining us to experience hang gliding! You are in for a real treat!

We'd like to provide you with a little more background and information about us at Instinct and hang gliding. Since you are going to be working close with us sometime over the next six months, and need to build some mutual trust, we should probably introduce ourselves! Instinct's owners and professional instructors are:

Mark Dowsett: By week a mild-mannered mail carrier; by weekend a former competition hang glider pilot who has been flying for over 17 years and holds a number of Canadian records. When he is not tearing up the skies or chillin' with his wife Donna and son Brody, Mark enjoys a good plate o' sushi.

Ryan Wood: Between helping run a very cool charity (Absolute.org), snugglin' his little girls Amelia and Gracie, and testing his wife Michelle's apparently endless patience, Ryan sneaks in time to be an avid pilot. He started flying small planes 13 years ago, but switched to hang gliding shortly after and never looked back! Ryan also loves sushi... All-You-Can-Eat sushi that is... which might explain his need for an extra large glider :)

Many people have a strong desire and dream to fly freely, and there is certainly no form of flying that is as vivid and pure as hang gliding. Very few people realize, however, that learning the sport is actually no longer that "extreme", but is instead quite attainable for most. We started Instinct Windsports for this reason, to empower everyday people to live their dream of free-flight! We put this video together to make sure you are familiar with what our Discovery Sessions entail:

The biggest question we are asked when people have decided to join us for a session is, "So how do I sign up"?

1. Go to our flight calendar here: http://schedule.instinct.pro and book 1 slot per person for your desired sessions. Add yourself to the waiting list, as cancellations do happen. Be aware that unless it is under 3 days in advance, we have no idea if the weather will permit us to actually do the session.
2. Sign-up here to receive notifications on unscheduled (ie. weekday) sessions.
3. Please note we are now offering a trade-in option for the HG 101 course.

Keep in mind, our sport is VERY weather dependent, so flexibility is often required. For our Discovery Sessions, we require next to no winds to have productive training experience.

The GroupOn deal also includes putting it towards our Full Certification course. The Full Certification course also has the pre-requisite of our Beginner Course so the combined cost of upgrading comes out to $1,041 (+ taxes).
