Winter hits us hard here in Canada - so much so that we can't really fly, especially here in the flats where we have zero ridges to take advantage of.  This turns our focus here at Instinct to our "winter projects" - ideas that are stuck in our brains all flying season as we have no time to work on them.  Quite often these projects take many winters to come to fruition Our next winter project that is coming to completion is our instrument mounts.  We have been working with Jo to make some awesome carbon and fiberglass instrument pods...

Instinct Windsports has just become AltAir's exclusive reseller of their fibreglass instrument pods.  Their pods are very unique! For all instruments - until recently all pods on the market were only for the Flytec 6030....the de-facto standard for competition instruments.  However, there is now lots of competition in this market and AltAir currently has solutions for the Digifly Air and are close to releasing their covers for the Oudie, Volarium and Flymaster flight computers.  They say you can even print your own cover on a 3D printer if you have a custom instrument!Interchangeable Covers - their Universal pod is designed...

We are honoured to toot our own horn and mention that HPAC (or national association) has awarded Instinct's very own, Mark Dowsett with the designation of Senior Instructor.For those that may not know, that Senior Instructor designation is an honourary rating that allows the Instructor to certify/re-certify other pilots to become/stay certified instructors.  It is an honour but a big responsibility to put together a training course to ensure new candidates become good instructors.  It's obviously important as that is the only way we can make our sport grow.Mark became a hang gliding instructor in 2009 after moving to Ontario, back to...
